Cuttack: As many as 162 new COVID-19 cases were detected under Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) limits in the last 24 hours.
Among the new cases, 31 cases were reported from institutional quarantine centres and 69 were home quarantine cases. 62 persons contracted the virus locally.

Out of the 62 cases who contracted the virus locally, 15 cases were from Matha Sahi, five cases were from Bidyadharpur, four cases were from Nayabazar, three cases were from Bauri Sahi of Tulasipur area, three cases were from CDA Sector 10, two cases were from CDA Sector 9, two cases were from Pension Lane Buxi Baszar, two cases were from Nua Sahi Gandarpur, two cases were from Kaji Bazar, two cases were from Arundoya Nagar, two cases were from Chauliaganj and one cases was from Ganaga Mandir.
After the fresh detection, the city’s tally has gone up to 2,678. Of them, 1,018 patients are undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 hospitals and 1,647 have recovered from the disease so far. 13 persons in the district have so far died due to the disease.
