Cuttack: As many as 32 new COVID-19 cases were detected under Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) limits in last 24 hours, CMC said Tuesday.
Among the new cases, five cases were reported from institutional quarantine centrers, 21 were home quarantine cases and the remaining from a paid quarantine centre. Five persons contracted the virus locally.
Five men who contracted the virus locally are from Tanti Sahi near Dewan Bazar, Mangala Mandir, Kaibanta Sahi near Naraz, Gopalpur near Toll Gate and from Kaligali near Ganesh Mandir.

After the fresh detection, the city’s tally has gone up to 398. Of them, 165 patients are undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 hospitals and 225 have recovered from the disease so far. Eight persons have so far died due to the disease.
The 21 home quarantine cases were detected from Khannagar, Haripur, Gujarati Basti, Kanika Chhak, Old Rausapatna, Mani Sahu Chhak near Buxi Bazar, Tanti Sahi, Dewan Bazar, Sankarpur near Parida Sahi.
