Cuttack: As many as 54 new COVID-19 cases were detected under Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) limits in last 24 hours, CMC said Wednesday.
Among the new cases, 11 cases were reported from institutional quarantine centres, 41 were home quarantine cases and two persons contracted the virus locally.

One man and a woman who contracted the virus locally are from Sutahata and Thoria Sahi respectively.
After the fresh detection, the city’s tally has gone up to 452. Of them, 219 patients are undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 hospitals and 225 have recovered from the disease so far. Eight persons have so far died due to the disease.
Out of the 41 home quarantine cases, 31 were detected from Khatbin Sahi, nine were from Sankarpur and the remaining one was from Mani Sahu Chhak.
