Cuttack: A youth was allegedly stabbed to death with a knife by an unidentified miscreant near Alamchand Bazar in Cuttack late Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Kartik Barik.
According to Kartik’s brother, a dispute was earlier prevailing between a man called Nanda and Kartik, which was later, resolved mutually. His brother has alleged that Kartik has been killed by Nanda due to some past enmity.
According to family members, Kartik had gone to a local shop late Wednesday night when Nanda stabbed him with a knife before fleeing the scene.
The victim sustained critical injuries and was spotted by the locals. He was immediately rushed to City Hospital in Cuttack. He was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, where he took his last breath during treatment.
On being informed, local police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.
