Sundargarh: Town police foiled a dacoity bid and arrested six persons near Amalaipali at Sankara bypass road in Sundargarh district last night. The arrested were identified as Om Raj Mohapatra, 19, Suraj Sahoo, 19, Suman Biswal, 20, Sidharth Panda, 19, Rajesh Bag, 19 and Biswajit Deo, 19. Acting on directives of Sundargarh SP Soumya Mishra, a police team conducting patrolling at Sankara bypass road intercepted the accused persons and apprehended them. On interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. Two motorcycles, seven mobile phones, chili powder, and a sharp weapon were recovered from them.
