Daily wager’s daughter scores 97 pc in CBSE Class-X exam

Beguniapada: A daily wager’s daughter under this block in Ganjam district scored 97 per cent marks in Class-X examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Examination, a report said.

The girl was identified as Bharati Moharana alias Mama, daughter of Prakash Moharana of Phasi village and a student of Navodaya Vidyalaya. She hopes to become a doctor and dedicate herself to the service of the poor after completing her studies. Her results brought cheers among the residents of Beguniapada block as they hailed her success.

The joys of her family knew no bounds as her father claimed that the results of their daughter gave them hope of better days in future despite striving hard for a living

According to reports, she managed to overcome all odds and achieved this feat although her father had to toil to earn a living for the family.

They even do not have a house of their own and live in a shanty provided by her maternal uncle. However, her family’s poverty failed to deter her in pursuing her dreams

She put in efforts for studies after getting admitted in Class-VI in Navodaya Vidyalaya after clearing the entrance examination. She scored 97 per cent in aggregate by achieving cent per cent marks in Social Studies and 96 per cent in other subjects.
