Dama has links with gangster Tito and Madhab: MLA Pramod Mallick

Niali: Attending a convention of a Right to Information programme against corrupt administration, organised at Niali High School Ground here in Cuttack district, the expelled BJD leader once again lashed out at BJD MLA Pramod Mallick.

“MLA Pramod Mallick is not a legislator. He is rather a contractor involved in corruption and illegal activities,” Rout said speaking at the event adding that Mallick was not getting a party ticket in 2014 and it was he who helped him get a ticket.

“Starting from Pani Panchayat in Niali Assembly Constituency to irrigation department, there is corruption everywhere including in the MLA’s fund,” he further alleged.

He went on to claim that money worth crores of rupees meant for the poor has been misappropriated. Meanwhile, Dama also slammed the state government. He said that the state government was fully governed by a single government employee.

On the other hand, MLA Mallick in his counter attack said he being a doctor can sense that Dama is currently suffering from nerve disorder and should visit a doctor.

Earlier, gangster Madhab Khuntia had said about my alleged involvement in Pani Panchayat corruption following his arrest by the Crime Branch. Now, Dama has been saying the same.  It clearly indicates the relationship Dama shares with Madhab.  Besides Madhab, he has also alliance with gangster Tito, Mallick added.

Earlier in the morning, hundreds of Anganwadi workers thronged at Niali block colony and walked through the meeting place holding placards and reading slogans against Dama.

While the congregation of Anganwadi workers was alleged to be intentional as Dama had given a sharp comment against Anganwadi workers, Niali block CDPO Pushpanjali Mishra said the Anganwadi workers were called as there was a meeting called ‘Mamata Baithak’.

Meanwhile, some miscreants hurled eggs at Dama during the meeting. Luckily, it did not reach Dama and fell on the stage.

Among others, senior journalist Rabi Das, advocate Sudhir Mohanty, RTI activist Pradeep Pradhan and Congress leader Satya Nayak attended the meeting that was jointly organised by Niali Suraksha Manch and Odisha Right to Information.
