Dengue spreads in Bhadrak; one dies, 15 affected

Bhadrak: Dengue is reportedly spreading in Bhadrak district with 15 cases detected and one dead within a month.

Reports said four persons tested positive for the vector-brine disease in Chandbali; two each in Bhadrak and Tihidi blocks; and one in Bhadrak municipality.

The district administration has got a complaint that Haladhar Rout (45), a resident of Tarag under Bant block died of the vector-borne disease.

Now, after spells of rain, drains in Bhadrak town are full of dirty water, creating an atmosphere conducive to breeding of mosquitoes.

In Purnuabazaar area, the condition is nauseating as drains have not been cleaned.
