Bhubaneswar: Almost all parts of the state were covered in a blanket of fog for the second consecutive day Saturday. According to a bulletin released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Khurda, Nayagarh and Kandhamal districts are likely to experience dense fog for the next two days.
In addition, the IMD also predicts shallow to moderate fog in some places of coastal Odisha, in Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, and Kandhamal, along with one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Keonjhar during the next 24 hours.
The bulletin further stated that the night temperature in different places of the state is unlikely to change significantly during the next five days.
In the last 24 hours, G Udayagiri in Kandhamal recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 5.5°C, while the minimum temperature in Semiliguda in Koraput was 8.0°C, while it was 8.5°C at Phulbani in Kandhamal.
The minimum temperature in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was 16.3°C and 17°C respectively. The weather across Odisha will remain dry, said the bulletin.
