Deogarh: Complying with the guidelines of ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative that was launched by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik October 2, Deogarh SP Rahul Jain made a surprise visit to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) here late Tuesday night.
The visit was conducted as part of the 5T initiative launched by the state government. The ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative has been implemented at all the police stations and district headquarters hospitals across the state.
Jain interacted directly with the patients in various wards and discussed the issues they were facing. Besides, the officer also enquired whether the patient’s relatives are exploited by middlemen.
Jain further visited the blood bank situated in the hospital and inspected the stock register. Along with this, he visited the medicines stores located in the hospital premises to check whether the patients are given medicines free of cost as per the government rules.
Speaking to media persons after the visit, Jain said, “Few days back four middlemen were arrested for exploiting relatives of some of the patients in this hospital. However, this time we didn’t find anything wrong. Everything is going well here.”
