Bhubaneswar: Odisha Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Rajanikant Singh tested positive for COVID-19 Monday.
The news of his diagnosis surfaced just a day before the commencement of the Monsoon Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
Singh, who is Angul MLA, was admitted to SUM COVID-19 hospital after he tested positive for the disease.
In a tweet, Singh said, “I have been tested positive for COVID-19 and have been admitted in SUM Covid hospital, Bhubaneswar. I request each and every one who have (sic) come in close contact with me in recent few days to get themselves tested. Jai Jagannath.”
Notably, Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi has once again tested positive for the virus for a second time.
