Devotee donates Rs 1 Crore for ambitious Shreemandir Parikrama project in Puri

Puri: Soumya Ranjan Samal, donated Thursday Rs 1 crore to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) in Puri. Samal’s wish is that the contribution be used for the development of ambitious Shreemandir Parikrama project here. According to a source, the devotee handed over the cheque of rupees one crore to SJTA chief administrator Krishan Kumar in the evening.

The much-debated Shreemandir Parikrama project has been taken up by the management committee of Shree Jagannath temple in Puri for providing the basic facilities and amenities to devotees who come here to pay their obeisance to the three presiding deities – Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra, Kumar said.

SJTA shared the information on its official Twitter handle. “This project is being taken up by management committee for providing facilities and amenities to devotees coming to Puri Dham for darshan of Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath,” it said.
