Virat Kohli, the Team India’s skipper, Monday, January 11, became the proud father to a baby girl with wife Anushka Sharma. The 32-year-old cricketer had spilt the beans on Anushka’s pregnancy back in August 2020 and also took paternity leave from the ongoing Ind-Aus test series to be by her side. He played the ODI and T20I series and the opening Test at the Adelaide Oval after which he flew back to India.
The baby was born in a private hospital in Mumbai. Over the last few months, the couple were pretty active on social media sharing a number of pictures on the pregnancy’s progress. Kohli and Anushka recently had dinner with teammate Hardik Pandya and his wife Natasa Stankovic.

After becoming a father, Virat’s joy knew no bounds. “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon,” Virat wrote in a message on his social media handles.
David Warner’s advice to Virat Kohli
After the happy incident, a number of stars from the sporting fraternity congratulated him. In the meantime, David Warner, the Australian left-handed batsman, had a hilarious message for the veteran.
The southpaw is a father of three kids along with wife Candice Warner, to whom he has been married since April 4, 2015. Warner replied to Kohli’s Instagram post and wrote, “Awesome news, congrats buddy. DM me for some tips”.
David Warner and Virat Kohli have interacted a lot with each other on social media. Kohli has left comments on the Australian’s TikTok videos, while Warner has also regularly engaged with the 32-year-old’s posts on social media platforms.
Virat Kohli played seven international games against Australia before returning home on paternal leave. Meanwhile, David Warner suffered an injury during the ODI series against India.
Warner missed the T20Is but seems to have recovered from that injury. The Australian opener aggregated 18 runs in the Sydney Test match versus India.
