Do you know why ants walk in line?

In order to maintain ecological balance, God has created different kinds of creatures. Ant is one of them. You must have seen that ants always move forward in line, but do you know why? Let’s tell you the reason behind it?

Ants are social insects and live in colonies. In those colonies queen ant, male ant and a number of female ants live. Queen Ant usually gives birth to millions of ants. Male ants have feathers while females do not have.

Usually we see only two types of ants red and black, but you will be astonished to know that there are more than 12 thousand species of ants in the world. Except Antarctica, ants are found in every corners of the world.

World’s most dangerous ants are found in the Amazon forests in Brazil. They are very fast and it is said that when they bite it seems like a bullet shot in the body, because of this specialty, these ants are known as ‘Bullet ant’.

Ants fall into the category of longest-lived insects. Ant is one of the strongest creatures in the world considering its size. However, they have the ability to lift 50 times more weight than theirs.

Ants do not have lungs. They have small holes on their bodies for inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide. Ants do not have ears but reacts on the vibration of the ground.

Although, ants have eyes but they are for show. When these ants come out in search of food, their queen secretes the chemical called Pheromones (a chemical substance produced and released into the environment by insects) on their way. The other ants follow her by smelling it which makes the line straight. This is the reason why ants walk in a line.
