Bhubaneswar: Tension ran high at the Bhubaneswar railway station here after the body of a doctor was found lying on the tracks of platform no 1 Saturday morning.
The deceased identified as Rabindranath Rath, was posted in the Pediatric Department of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Hospital here on ad hoc basis. Dr Rath was a retired CDMO.
According to the doctor’s family, Rath was attending patients at his clinic at Samatarapur here when he received a call and went out. When he did not return home, the family tried to trace him, but all in vain. The family then filed a missing complaint.
Meanwhile, the real reason behind this incident is yet to be known.
However, the family members suspect it to be a murder.
The Government Railway Police have sent the body for post mortem. Further investigating is on.
