Doon International School, affiliated to the renowned Doon International School of Dehradun, was set up on June 29, 2014 as a co-ed educational institution. Founded by Chairman Sarat Chandra Routray, the school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It has primary, secondary and senior secondary (science and commerce) sections under CBSE curriculum. Situated at Sijua, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, the institution is close to AIIMS super-speciality hospital.
Currently, the school has 400 students on its rolls who are guided under the tutelage of 60 staffers. The school has evolved greatly under the charismatic leadership of Principal Gouri Rakshit.
Amenities: The school has separate hostels for boys and girls on the campus. The number of day boarders is also significant. The spacious classrooms are well-ventilated and are air-conditioned. The infrastructure at the school’s playground can help kids practice outdoor sports like football, cricket and tennis among other games. Over a period of time the number of students has gone up and so are their activities.
Besides, the school orients kids in horse-riding and swimming. It has a well-maintained hygienic canteen where fresh meals are cooked and served.
School buses pick students from their residences to the school and drop them back home. The security system is A1 as CCTV cams continuously monitor every activity on the school precincts.

Apart from CBSE curriculum DIS BBSR takes equal care of extra-curricular activities like contemporary dance, music, martial arts, art and craft, personality development classes, GK, affiliation with Trinity College of London in order to improve communication skills.”
The students are also taken out for excursions in and around Bhubaneswar from time to time. Once in a year the children are out for a visit to other states.
