Dr Batra’s health clinic records 40% growth in state

post news network, Bhubaneswar, May 26: Dr Batra’s Positive Health Clinic Private Ltd. (DBPHCL), offering homeopathic healthcare solutions, recorded a growth in the range of 38 to 40 per cent during the last fiscal, a top official of the company said.

“We have registered a growth of 38 per cent to 40 per cent in the state during the last fiscal and hope to double our growth this fiscal following the opening of the 4th clinic in the state,” Piyali Saha, head medical services, Dr Batra’s Positive Health Clinic, said at the inaugural function of its clinic here, Tuesday.

Talking on the growth, Saha said the company was growing by 25 per cent whereas the industry grew by 22 per cent.
On the presence of the company in state, she said it already had three clinics, one each in, Rourkela, Sambalpur and Berhampur. The Bhubaneswar unit that was inaugurated Tuesday was the fourth one.

“Dr Batra’s clinic has widened its network of 190 super specialty clinics, spread across 102 cities in India, Dubai and the UK to 191 today by launching this clinic in Bhubaneswar,” saha said.

On the expansion plan of the company, Saha said it was planning to increase its network from 191 to 350 by the end of March 2016. It also had plans to open another clinic in state within the next two months.

“The new clinic that is expected to open in the next two months will be opened in Cuttack. It will be the fifth clinic in the state,” she said.

Speaking on the performance of the company, Kunal Mukherjee, DBPHCPL regional sales manager (east), said they had crossed Rs1.5cr in the last five months in the eastern zone by selling the company’s existing products.

“In Orissa we have achieved a turnover of Rs25 lakh by selling our products and hope to cross the Rs100cr mark in the eastern zone by selling only the hair-care products,” Mukherjee said.

On the pricing of the products, he said the prices varied between Rs49 and Rs550.
