New Delhi: Days after Union Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAHD) sought suggestions on the draft Live-Stock and Live-Stock Products [Importation and Exportation] Bill, 2023, denizens took to Twitter and trended #SayNoToLiveStockBill2023 to voice their opposition to the bill.
According to a source, the bill seeks to frame measures for the regulation of the importation of live-stock and live-stock products as well as promotion and development of exports of livestock and livestock products.
Animal rights activists and several celebrities took to Twitter to suggest that the bill was draconian and will do more harm than good. Some, meanwhile, were also seen defending the government. Check out the interactions.
