Bhubaneswar: Drug mafia attacked a raiding police team on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar in which a police Sub-Inspector (SI) sustained multiple injuries, a source said Saturday.
The SI, identified as Ramesh Bhola, was posted at Dhauli Police Station.
Based on an intelligence input about illicit narcotics trade, SI Ramesh with his police team had launched a raid at an abandoned house. The miscreants attacked the officials during the raid in which Ramesh sustained injuries, the source informed.
Meanwhile, another police team rushed to the spot and nabbed four alleged assailants. However, some of the miscreants managed to escape the scene.
