Bhubaneswar: A drunk man died after he accidentally fell into a well at Salia Sahi under Nayapalli police limits here Wednesday. The deceased Arakhit Patra hailed from Ganjam district but resided in Salia Sahi.
He was heavily into drinking and returned home in an inebriated condition. After dinner, he went to sit on the edge of a well to have fresh aim amid excess heat. He lost balance and fell into the well.
Locals rescued the man and rushed him to Capital Hospital where doctors declared him ‘brought dead’. A case of unnatural death was registered and the body sent for post-mortem.
