Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha Friday initiated the e-admission process into Class-XI for the academic session 2024-25. The online application system is facilitated through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal, accessible at www.samsodisha.gov.in.
Joint Director of the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education Sunil Kumar Jena announced the commencement of the e-admission process in a recent directive.
The process is open to students who have completed their High School Certificate (HSC) Examination from the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, or equivalent boards.
Prospective students can apply to various streams including Arts, Science, Commerce, Upashastri, and Vocational courses at Higher Secondary Schools (HSSs) affiliated with the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha and Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri.
Key dates for the admission process are as follows:
- Online application commencement: June 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM
- Application submission deadline: July 6, 2024, at 11:45 PM
- Commencement of classes: August 1, 2024
The application process involves registering on the SAMS portal, completing the Common Application Form (CAF), and paying the application fee online. The fee structure is set at Rs200 for General Category students, Rs100 for ST & SC Category students and is waived for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), transgender individuals, and orphans upon submission of valid certificates.
Applicants have been advised to thoroughly read the Common Prospectus available on the SAMS portal before filling out the CAF. All necessary original documents must be verified at the designated Higher Secondary School during the admission process.
