E-vehicle gifted to Capital Hospital

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Warehousing Corporation (OSWC) provided one 10-seater e-vehicle for Rs 11.90 lakh to the Capital Hospital here out of its CSR fund in an event held in the hospital campus, Thursday. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Minister of FS&CW, Cooperation, and Higher Education, presented the vehicle to Laxmidhar Sahoo, Director, Capital Hospital. The Capital Hospital is a premier hospital, which was recently granted the status of a Post Graduate Institute, is spread across 25 acres of land with 750 beds with about 5,500 patients coming for treatment daily. The electric vehicle will help a lot to regular patients, PWDs, children, and senior citizens for their seamless movement inside the campus, especially among different departments, to avail treatment within a short period. The OSWC is providing warehousing and logistic support to the agriculture sector by operating 68 warehouses spread over 30 districts of the state. The Corporation mainly deals in scientific storage of food grains for distribution under PDS and other welfare schemes of the government.
