Bhubaneswar: Railways has decided to run one pair of special trains between Kolkata and Puri to clear additional rush of passengers during Dola Purnima and Holi Festival.
According to an East Coast Railway (ECoR) release, the 03101 Kolkata-Puri special train will leave Kolkata at 11:50pm March 20, 2019 and will arrive at Puri at 9:35am the following day.
In the return direction, 03102 Puri-Kolkata special train will leave Puri at 2pm March 21, 2019 (Thursday) and will reach Kolkata at 11:55pm the same day.
The train will have two AC-2 tier, two AC-3 tier, 11 sleeper class, 04 general second class and 02 Guard/Divyang cum luggage van coaches and stopped at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kharagpur and Andul (via Bhattanagar) on both the directions.
This apart a decision has also been taken to run special trains between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam and Tirupati from both the directions.
The 08501/08502 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam special train from Visakhapatnam will leave at 11pm every Tuesday between April 2 and June 25, 2019 and will arrive at Secunderabad at 12 O’ clock in the noon on the following days.
In the return directions, this train from Secunderabad will leave at 4:30pm every Wednesday between April 3 and June 26, 2019 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 4:50am the next days.
Similarly, 08573/08574 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati-Visakhapatnam special train from Visakhapatnam will leave at 10:55pm every Monday between April 1 and June 24, 2019 and will arrive at Tirupati at 1:25pm on the following days.
In the return directions, this train from Tirupati will leave at 3:30pm every Tuesday between April 2 and June 25, 2019 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 6:50am on the next days.
In view of demands from passengers, Railways have decided to provide stoppage of 18519/18520 Visakhapatnam-LTT Express at Pithapuram from March 8, next and 18425/18426 Puri-Durg-Puri Express at Sainthala from March 10, 2019 on an experimental basis for a period of six months.
