Pune: England have won the toss and have chosen to bowl in the first ODI against India which starts here in a short while. India are going into the game with fast bowler Parsidh Krishna and all-rounder Krunal Pandya both of who are making their ODI debuts. It should also be stated here that India have included KL Rahul in the playing XI in place of Rishabh Pant. The Karnataka player will keep wickets and bat at No. 5.

The pitch at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium looks firm and has good carry according to the experts. So it is expected to produce a heap of runs.

England on the other hand will be without three key players who helped them win the World Cup in 2019. They are Joe Root, Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer. However, even then England boast of a formidable side.

India have won both the Test series (3-1) and the T20 series (3-1)
