Cuttack, Feb 5: Orissa women football team made it to the semifinals of the National Games, beating Kerala in their last league match at Thrissur.

Riding on a brace by Pyari Xaxa, the visiting team routed the hosts 5-1 in a lop-sided match. Orissa dominated the game from the start and kept the major possession of the ball.

In form Pyari opened the account for the visitors after 15 minute of deadlock. Sasmita Mallick found the back of the net in the 37th minute and the team established a 2-0 lead in the first half.

The visitors regular attack in the second half yielded three more goals. Pinky Bompal scored the third goal in the 56th minute, while Pyari struck again in the 62nd minute. Sinulata Sahoo scored in the last minute to finish the rout. Kerala could score a consolation goal only.
