Excerpts:
How was your experience in Puri?
It’s an amazing place and I feel very proud to be a part of Mission Shakti. I am truly amazed to witness such a huge gathering of women at one programme.
Are you a devotee of Lord Jagannath?
Yes, I am. I have already visited the other three religious dhams in the country. I am blessed by Lord Jagannathji this year. This made me visit Srimandir for the first time. I am truly mesmerised by those epic tales about Lord Jagnnath.
What’s your take on Big Boss 12?
Eviction from Bigg Boss was a blessing in disguise as I was missing my children and wife a lot. Big Boss was a great platform where I learned a lot of things like voicing out my opinion, which everyone should do more often.
What is your perception on Odisha?
I am quite stunned by the way Odisha organised Men’s Hockey World Cup. Nowadays, the state seems to be the favourite destination of nature enthusiasts and travellers. I was blown by the beauty of the capital. The cleanliness and organised way of life really captivated me. The people of the state are quite warm and welcoming. The state is much more capable than what is being said in the media. I am planning to visit the state once again.
Tell us about your upcoming projects.
I may not be a part of Naagin 3 but am hopeful to play some part in the 4th edition. As far as the future projects are concerned, a movie Hume Tumse Pyar Kitna jointly produced by T-series and me will be released. Besides, there are other projects which I can’t discuss right now.
What would you say to your fans and followers of the state?
Everyone should dream to achieve. One should work really hard as success is a non-stop process which can’t be stopped. Winners never shy away from trying harder.
What is your fitness mantra?
I am a fitness freak and follow my regimen strictly. One can stay fit just by walking, eating healthy, drinking enough water and having a good rest.
What’s your take on female foeticide and women empowerment?
Those who are involved in female foeticide should be punished severely as the days of male domination are long gone. It’s time for women to empower themselves. They must realise their self-worth. A woman who has determination in her heart and a strong voice is truly powerful. I am blessed to be surrounded by such people like my mother, sister and wife.
