Bhubaneswar: Polling parties, electronic voting machines (EVMs) and VVPATs have been dispatched to booths for the third phase elections to be held Tuesday.
The EVMs and VVPATs have been sent to five Assembly segments under Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency from the BJB College strong room.
The machines will be sent to the booths under Notified Area Councils (NACs) and municipalities by Monday.
Sources said adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure free and fair polling in the areas under Bhubaneswar LS segment.
Web-casting will take place in 18 booths. As many as 56 CCTV cameras will be installed and videography will be conducted in 25 booths.
Meanwhile, marathon campaigning was seen Sunday, the last day for third phase polls, and it ended in the evening.
Six Lok Sabha constituencies – Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal – and 42 Assembly segments will go to polls April 23.
