Shaan was giving information through his mobile phone to them about police movements and their action after arresting the culprits.

Police said Shaan helped one of the culprits Jaan alias Sk Sarfaraj of Jaipura, to go abroad after the firing incident. He was in touch with Jaan till August 17 as per the CDR (call data record) of Shaan’s mobile number.

Shaan was arrested Wednesday in sadar police station case No: 189 dated 14.07.19 under Sections 307/120-B and 34 of IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. He was produced in the SDJM court of Kendrapara and was remanded to custody after his bail plea was rejected.
