Examination dates for class I to class XII students to be finalised after reopening of schools: Minister Samir Ranjan Dash

Bhubaneswar: Dates of the Matriculation, Plus II examinations and those for students from Class I to IX will be finalised after reopening of schools. Schools that have been shut down since March are expected to reopen after the Durga Puja holidays, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, Thursday evening. “Decision regarding these examinations will be taken after reopening of schools in the state,” Dash said.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced August 26 that schools will remain closed due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic till the end of the Durga Puja vacations. “Once the schools reopen and classes begin, then a call for scheduling of examination dates will be taken,” informed Dash.

The Odisha government had earlier announced that the schools and colleges will remain shut till August 31. Naveen Patnaik had made the announcement while holding a review meeting on COVID situation in the state through video conferencing here.
