Sundargarh: Acting on a tip-off, police late Sunday evening busted a counterfeit currency printing unit operating at Kendudihi village under Hemgiri police limits in this district.
The raid team also arrested three persons in this connection. Preliminary probe stated that the printing unit was running at a mobile phone shop.
A police team raided the shop and seized three counterfeit notes of Rs 500 each, a computer and a printer. The arrested persons have been identified as Sadananda Khamari, 25, Baruna Khamari, 19, and Prakash Khamari, 33.
While police suspect a Chhattisgarh link of the arrested trio, an investigation is underway in the case.
