BHUBANESWAR: Dhauli college of Art and Crafts will organise a 3-day-long 2nd International Dhauli Painting Exhibition from January 12 to 14, 2019, on the eve of Dhauli Art Festival 2019 in here.
This art exhibition will showcase the work of eminent painters and sculptures of the state and nation. Apart from them, artists from France, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Afganisthan, Canada, Peru, Kabul and Nepal will also participate and showcase their artworks.
During the exhibition, an International Children’s Painting competition 2019 would be conducted on the sidelines. About 1200 children will participate in this competition. The paintings of the winner would be displayed at the expo.
A special workshop on state’s mask making, Pattachitra and tribal art and craft would also be held on the occasion. The winners in visual art will be feted with Kala Shri Sanmann, Global Acting award and Bhubaneswar Kala Sanmaan.
Interacting with Orissa Post, Dean of Dhauli college of Art and Crafts Panchanan Samal said, “This is the second edition of the fest. Brilliant paintings of several college students will also be exhibited for the visitors. The institution and its managing committee are quite excited to host this wonderful event. We are already in the preparation mode.”
Sumati Das, a first year student of the college, also stressed on the need for such amazing exhibitions which will be an amalgamation of artworks of famous and budding artistes. The residents of nearby Dhauli village are also quite excited for the upcoming expo.
