Bhubaneswar: The Post Graduate (PG) examinations of city based Utkal University of Culture has been postponed to June 1 in view of the damages caused to the university by extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani.
A notification on this context has been put up on their website.
The examinations were scheduled to start from May 20.
“Utkal University of Culture has suffered extensive damages due to cyclone Fani. Restoration of electricity and water supply has not been made possible yet. The examination schedule notified earlier is being changed in view of these issues,” read the notification signed by Registrar Manoj Kumar Das.
“All the Post Graduate examinations which were scheduled to start from May 20, 2019 are now re-scheduled to start from June 1, 2019. The programme for under-graduate examinations remains unchanged. The new post-graduate examination programme will be notified shortly,” it added.
Das has assured that the revised PG exam programme will be notified shortly while the ladies and gents hostels – that had been vacated before the storm — will open from May 28
That said, the examination schedule for several graduate courses such as BPA, BVA, BHM, BTTM, bachelor of fashion designing, bachelor of interior designing and the six-month programmes like Jain Religion and Philosophy and Tamil courses remain unchanged. They will be carried as expected at several centres of the university and colleges affiliated to it.
