Farmers believe that frog wedding brings rain. Such a wedding was held in Boda, Rajgarh district. Actually, the farmers in the area are worried about the rain shortage. There is a tradition of worshipping nature for rain, and various types of tricks are being resorted to for this. The villagers organised a marriage of frogs along with ‘Band Baja Barat’.

On one side, a resident of Bakani became the frog groom, and on the other side, a resident of Boda decorated the frog like a bride. The groom’s side brought the wedding procession with all the rituals; while on the other hand, all the wedding customs were performed by the bride’s side.
Call it superstition or blind belief, but in the village of Boda-Bakani in Rajgarh district, the farmers of the Hindu community got a frog and a toad married according to the rituals for rain. For this, a procession was taken out with drums, and a lot of dancing and singing took place. Pictures of this frog wedding are going viral on social media.
In the temple premises, the townspeople decorated the temple for the marriage and performed the ceremony according to all customs and traditions. There was a garland in the marriage. All the city residents reached the Shiva temple located in Thakur Mohalla and distributed prasad.
