BHUBANESWAR: Around 30 students from the National Institute of Fashion Technology visited Kalabhoomi museum as part of a guided tour Friday.
The creative minds of the students gave the organisers a new perspective on artefacts and infrastructure of the venue. Earlier, the museum witnessed a larger group of their peers who visited the museum on February 27.
Interacting with Orissa Post, a visitor Maitri Saha said, “Facilities available at this site for visitors and students is simply awesome. My daughter, who is a student of NIFT, told me to visit the place.”
Saroj, a museum official, said, “Earlier, on February 22, a delegation of 62 members of Nano Unicorn Skill in Odisha visited the museum. Entrepreneurs, teachers, trainees and skill developers developed their knowledge of the crafts and culture of Odisha.”
Kalabhoomi museum is a vibrant place for visitors. The museum manuscripts, tribal artefacts, Paika weaponry, collections related to Jagannath culture, folk art, handlooms and Odia lifestyle products among others.
Interestingly, Kalabhoomi museum is open for seven days a week. The museum walk and live music organised by Ekamra Walks between 3:30 pm and 5 pm is another one of the reasons for city folks to visit the venue.
The daily guided tours come in three languages to acquaint visitors with the crafts of Odisha. The timings are as follows: English guided tour (11 am to 12 pm), Hindi guided tour (12.30 pm to 1.30 pm) and Odia guided tour (3 pm to 4 pm).
