Puri: Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has taken the final decision for inauguration of Puri Heritage Corridor Project January 17.

The inauguration ceremony will be observed for three days during which Vedic recitation, ‘yajna’, and ‘sankirtan’ programmes will be organised by SJTA, temple administration’s Chief Administrator Ranjan Das informed Sunday after the managing committee meeting held Saturday.

Das further said that permission has been given to ASI to carry out laser scanning of the ‘Ratnabhandar’ during Kartika month.

Das said that ASI will further carry out laser scanning of temples of subsidiary deities on the shrine complex.

“If required, laser scanning of the inner temple treasury may also be allowed. The temple and district administrations will provide necessary cooperation to the ASI for smooth completion of laser scanning,” he mentioned.

The managing committee also decided to construct a green corridor road from Jagannath Ballav Matha to Dolabedi in order to reduce gathering of devotees at Grand Road.
