Phulnakhara: Two bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted Rs 58,000 from a finance company employee at Hatigada near Korakari under Cuttack Sadar police limits, Thursday. According to sources, Santosh Maharana, an employee of the private firm, was returning to his office on his motorcycle after collecting money from a self-help group at Gobindpur. The accused duo waylaid him at Hatigada and snatched the money bag before fleeing the spot. Later, Maharana, filed a written complaint with Cuttack Sadar police in this connection. Inspector-in-charge of the police station, Sudhanshu Bhusan Jena, reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter. A case (385/2018) was registered in this regard.
