Keonjhar: Fire broke out in the Keonjhar-Bhubaneswar fast passenger train near Tilikidhara station Wednesday around 8.30am while it was on its way to Bhubaneswar from here. Fire broke out in the luggage van. No casualty was reported.
Officials said some passengers spotted fire erupting from the luggage van of the train and alerted the loco pilot. He stopped the train. The luggage bogie was separated from the train and fire-fighters stepped in to douse the flames.
Panic gripped the passengers and they alighted from the train. The cause of the fire is yet to be known. An investigation has started.
