We all know of a long list of actors in the Hindi film industry who have struggled their way to fame. Many of these have an impressive voice and were popular radio jockeys (RJ) much before they started their career as actors:
Sunil Dutt
Before he rode the highs of Hindi film industry’s success, Sunil Dutt was a radio presenter in Radio Ceylon. He even got the opportunity to interview Dilip Kumar and Shammi Kapoor as an RJ.
Ayushmann Khurrana
The Andhadun actor started his career at the age of 17 and became a successful RJ in BIG FM New Delhi. He hosted Big Chai – Maan Na Maan and then Main Tera Ayushmann on the station. Later, he became a VJ on MTV! Ayushmann Khurrana made his first Hindi film debut in Vicky Donor, which was a big success.
Manish Paul
Leading TV host and Hindi movie actor Manish started his career as a small-time TV host while also working as an RJ with Radio City Mumbai where he used to host the morning show Kasakai Mumbai. He was among the most demanded entertainers of the station who was popular for his antics. He did hosting, acting, and a few TV shows before getting big on Hindi cinema. He was also the part of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif Starrer Tees Maar Khan and made his Hindi movie debut as lead actor in Mickey Virus.
Aparshakti Khurana
Aparshakti made his Hindi film debut in Aamir Khan Starrer Dangal in 2016. Quite like his elder brother Ayushmann, before making a debut, he was also a radio jockey with BIG FM in New Delhi. He is a pack of talents and has also played cricket under 19 for Haryana Team. Besides, he is also a theatre artist. Aparshakti was also a part of Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
Mantra
He has spent over a decade as an RJ in various FM channels. He started off as an RJ in the year 2000 with Radio Mirchi and got his acting break in Hindi film industry with the 2009 film Tum Mile. He is also a popular TV presenter and has done comedy shows as well.
