Rayagada: Incessant rains for the past two days in south Odisha, flash floods followed by an alarming rise in the water level was seen in the district. About five feet water is flowing over the Ambadhara Bansadhara Bridge connecting Rayagada and Bhawanipatna Wednesday morning.
As per reports, several areas in the district were affected due to incessant rains, disrupting road and rail communications. Hundreds of trucks, buses, and two-wheelers were seen standing still on both sides of the bridge.
In Ambadola town, about two feet water was flowing over main roads and water-logging is reported inside several offices affecting work. The most affected were school and college students during the rain.
