BHUBANESWAR: Students of Business Administration department of Utkal University organised a flash mob at their annual day event titled Cross Roads on the university campus here Friday.
THE flash mob was organised at the entrance gate and was attended by numerous students and passersby. Multiple events such as quiz, Pen speaks writing competition, gully cricket, video game competition and Tango dance among others would be conducted at the two-day event.
This apart, another event titled ‘Sanganak’, the annual technical festival of Dept. of Computer Science & Applications was organised on the campus. It refers to the independent body of students who organise this event along with many other social initiatives and outreach programmes around the year.
Sanganak is known for hosting a variety of events that include competitions, seminars, lectures as well as workshops. The initiative was started in 2018 with the aim of providing a platform for the student community to develop and showcase their technical and innovation prowess. The activities culminate in a grand three-day festival event in the CSA campus which attracts different categories of people including students, academia and general public.
Multiple technical events such as Think Quick and a qui event were organised between groups. The areas of quiz were politics, sports, movies and general interests. The areas of Think Quick were computer science and recent trends in technology among others.
A unique event Sketch ‘D’ Theme was also organised on the occasion. Here, participants had to sketch a theme-based picture. The theme was announced prior to the event. Drawing sheets were provided at the event itself.
Next in line were special gaming events. Gamers participated in multiple games such as Counter Strike 1.6 (4 players per Squad), NFS –MW (Solo) and LUDO-King. Cultural events such as singing, dancing (Single/Duet/Group), acting and Fashion expo were also organised on the occasion.
