Flyer suffers heart attack on AI flight

Bhubaneswar, Dec 13: Air India’s New Delhi-Bhubaneswar flight carrying around 100 people on board Saturday made a medical emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport after a passenger suffered a heart attack.Air India Flight 877 was en route to Bhubaneswar when the pilot informed Bhubaneswar air traffic control (ATC) at around 8.45 am about a medical emergency on board and sought medical services to be on standby at the taxiway.Passenger Ravinder Tanwar was escorted out of the flight as soon as it landed at 9 am and was immediately whisked off to a private hospital. An airport terminal manager said the passenger who was travelling with his wife and children is said to be stable.
