Follow these kitchen tips to prevent vegetables/fruits from rotting quickly

Women have to face a lot of problems to store vegetables and fruits in summer and prevent them from getting spoilt. Within a brief time, they start rotting, due to which there is no option but to throw them away.

Most of the people bring one week’s vegetables and fruits from the market in one go and store them. But, it gets spoilt due to various reasons. If you are also facing this problem, then here are some tips which will help you to keep the vegetables fresh for a longer time.

So let’s know about those kitchen tips:-

Green leafy vegetables: If your green leafy vegetables get spoilt, then before storing it in the fridge, cover it in tissue paper or kitchen roll and store it. While covering it in tissue paper or kitchen roll, you should close it with plastic cling wrap so that its moisture does not come out. In this way green leafy vegetables will remain fresh for a long time.

To store onion and garlic: Take a bamboo steamer and store it in it. Keep it in a well ventilated place and protect it from the sun, this way it will be fine for a long time and will not germinate.

Store tomatoes: It is very common that tomatoes get spoiled very quickly. To save it, store it in fridge but, it doesn’t stay good for too long. In such a situation, to save it, cut it into slices and store it. After this store it in a container with olive oil.

To store potatoes and apples: You should always store them in an airtight bag or basket. Apart from this, keep it in a cool and dry place.
