Berhampur: Vigilance sleuths Tuesday caught Berhampur food safety officer red handed while accepting Rs 1000 bribe from a hotelier here.
The officer has been identified as Tapaswini Behera.
According to reports, the owner of Ambika Hotel had applied for food safety license. Behera had asked him to cough up Rs 1000 for the license.
The hotel owner informed the vigilance department.
A team of vigilance officials drew a plan and accordingly caught Behera while taking the bribe.
