Foodies savour ‘Desi’ recipes

BHUBANESWAR: Foodishah, a national-level food group, organised a food workshop at Shanna’s shack here Sunday.

The group is known for brilliant home cooks who showcase their talents on social media, holding food workshops besides nutrition workshops. This was the fourth meet in the row where members of the group enjoyed restaurant food and discussed on food values, recipes as well as ways to cook Desi summer meals.

At least 50 members joined the workshop where food expert Senorita Dash presented a talk on desi recipes and how home cooks can compete with professionals while staying at home.

Odisha cuisine was judged as the best cuisine for summer. Many school children also joined the workshop with their parents. Foodishah is all set to organise a Young Talent competition in the city soon.

‘Ice-cream sizzler’ won the best recipe contest and each member was presented with gifts. Swabhiman, a food blogger discussed the importance of healthy eating and homemade food. Piyali Bhowal, Farurue Ali, Swabhiman, Utathya, Nikhil, Swabhiman and Pratik were also present at the event.
