Sonepur: As many as six wild boars fell into a well near Khaliapali village in Sonepur late Thursday night. They were rescued later with the help of villagers and forest officials Friday.
According to sources, the animals had come from Murgabari forest to graze crops in the area where the incident took place.
The villagers potted the boars struggling in the well and informed the forest officials.
On receipt of information from the villagers, forest personnel reached the spot and launched a rescued operation. The animals were rescued and were set free in a nearby forest.
Some locals have alleged that the mishap took place as there are no boundaries outside the well.
