Forester under vigilance radar for disproportionate assets

Boudh: Vigilance sleuths Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on the houses, offices and other properties of a forester on charges of amassing wealth disproportionate to their known source of income.

The accused is a serving officer in Boudh district. He has been identified as forester of Kenduleaf department in Boudh district, Jagabandhu Patra.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Boudh and Phulbani vigilance officers conducted simultaneous raids in the wee hours of Thursday at his house near Raithani, a house at his village, office and a rent house.

During the raid they seized several documents. The details regarding the value of assets of the forester would be ascertained after the completion of the raids, informed DSP Ratikant Suna.
