Four men die in separate road mishaps in Keonjhar, Boudh

Keonjhar/Boudh: In two separate incidents of road mishap in Keonjhar and Boudh districts, at least four men died and 25 were severely injured Sunday evening.

In the first incident, two drivers were killed after their trucks had a head-on collision on national highway (NH-20) near Biragobindpur Chhak of Anandpur in Keonjhar district.

On being informed Ghasipura police recovered the mortal remains and sent them to a nearby hospital for post-mortem. The police have launched a probe in this connection.

Identities of the drivers are to be yet to be ascertained, police sources informed.

Another incident of road mishap was reported from Boudh district. Two persons were killed and 25 were injured after the vehicle in which they were travelling rammed into an SUV.

The fatal road mishap occurred at Kiakata Chhak on Angul-Boudh border area Sunday late night. The deceased are drivers of the two vehicles.

The injured were rescued in critical condition and sent to Boudh hospital for treatment. Later, they were shifted to VIMSAR Burla as health of eight of them deteriorated further.
