Four wagons of goods train catch fire in Rayagada

Rayagada: Four wagons of a goods train caught fire at Muniguda Railway Station in Rayagada district Saturday morning.

The accident happened when the coal-laden train was at Muniguda Railway Station. Railway officials spotted smoke coming out of a wagon. On being informed, fire personnel reached the spot. It took them about two hours to douse the flame.

The train was on its way from Visakhapatnam to Darbhanga.

While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the excess heat is blamed for the mishap.
