Sambalpur: Police busted a gambling unit in Sunapali area near Dhanupali in the district Monday night and arrested 16 persons. Cops got a tip-off around 3 am. A police team raided the house and found at least 16 gamblers busy playing cards and took them into custody.
Police seized cash worth Rs 12,640 from the gamblers. The gamblers belonged to a minority community and they would be forwarded to the court today, said police.
