Polsara: Police Thursday arrested four suspects for allegedly gang-raping a girl at Polsara area in Ganjam district.
According to reports, the girl, who lives with her brother and younger sister, was asleep Wednesday night when four miscreants broke the door open and barged into the house. They forcefully took the girl to a secluded place, where they allegedly took turns to rape her.
She shouted aloud for help following which a few neighbours woke up. In fear of apprehension the accused left the girl and fled the spot.
The victim lodged a written complaint with Polsara police in this connection.
Acting on the complaint, police started investigation and sent the girl for medical examination.
The victim’s parents work as daily wage labourers in Bhubaneswar.
